Design Your Mural

Choosing Your Theme

When choosing a theme for a mural, take a baby’s nursery for example, it may be as simple as matching bedding that has already been chosen, or it could become a developmental process taking many things into consideration. A mural in one’s space is expected to last for many years. For children, it may be their favorite something or you may choose to do a background with an area that will be easy to change down the road.

Design Considerations

What makes you smile?

bullet

Who is going to be affected by this mural?

bullet

Motivational? Calm and peaceful?

What are your favorite colors and the effects of colors in a space?

bullet

If you could escape to a wonderful environment, where would it be?

Will this be a permanent fixture?  Will you want to be able to take it with you?

Wall murals are custom painted directly on the wall, or on canvas and shipped to any location. Canvas wall murals may be hung like a tapestry, or installed like wallpaper.  For someone in a temporary situation, this is the way to go.  Canvas murals do NOT include installation.

There are three ways that canvas can be utilized:
 1. Individual canvas (a painting)
 2. Loose canvas to be applied to a wall surface
 3. Loose canvas to be hung without wall attachment

When you schedule a consultation, I will listen and take notes on the ideas that we talk about and together we will do some creative brainstorming. Consultations are always free.
